Personal device project

Galaxy S2 Music

A personal music bridge between a Pixel phone and a Galaxy S2.

The bridge lets its owner browse music likes and owned playlists from their YouTube account and play music through the older phone's familiar player. Uploaded music already present in those lists is also supported. Google authorization and music requests run on the Pixel; the paired S2 receives the catalog, artwork and audio it needs.

Why Google access is needed

Authorization lets the bridge read the owner's music lists and request playback of authorized content. The existing integration uses Google's YouTube account permission, which includes broader editing rights. The bridge implements library reads and playback; it does not implement account edits, uploads, posting or deletion.

For the owner's phones

This is a private, personal project. There is no public download, hosted music service or public sign-in on this website. The bridge runs on the owner's paired phones. It is not an official Google, YouTube or Samsung product.
